GEICO Takes the Fast Track to Partner with the National Hot Rod Association’s POWERade Series

LAS VEGAS--GEICO, the country’s fastest growing auto insurance company, has officially partnered with one of the fastest forms of entertainment on wheels, the National Hot Rod Association’s (NHRA) POWERade series. The partnership was announced in Las Vegas over the weekend, and will make the auto insurer one of the premier corporate sponsors of the NHRA.

As a NHRA sponsor, GEICO will be featured at all 24 of the season’s drag races and will provide a number of events for the series including booths, autographs and an on-site entertainment team. The NHRA drag race season begins in February 2008.

GEICO has already been a familiar face to the NHRA fans. The NHRA POWERade Series Professional Pro Stock motorcycle drag racer Karen Stoffer has been successfully racing the GEICO motorcycle Suzuki since 2004. Stoffer is looking to earn her highest-ever finish as she wraps up the 2007 season at the NHRA Finals in Pomona, Calif., on Nov. 1-4.
