Kurt Johnson to be an on-site reporter at the NHRA FanFest for tonight's
Powershift XM radio show 

 

Las Vegas, Nev.., October 25, 2007 - ACDelco Cobalt racer Kurt Johnson
is best known for his performance on the race track, where he has
accumulated 36 national event wins in 67 final round appearances, and is
riding a Pro Stock best streak of 13 straight year with at least one
victory.  However, on this evening's (Thursday, October 25) edition of
the Powershift XM Satellite radio show, KJ will be taking on a new
assignment, acting as the show's on-site reporter at the NHRA Fanfest,
which will be held at the Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las
Vegas.

 

This inaugural event, which is being held in advance of this weekend's
ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals, will feature an autograph session with
some of the top drivers in the NHRA's four professional categories in
attendance, the POWERade simulators, as well as live musical
entertainment.  One of the highlights of the evening, however, promises
to be the unveiling of the special ACDelco/Hulkamania paint scheme that
Johnson will use in competition this weekend at The Strip at Las Vegas
Motor Speedway.

 

Hosted by Joe Castello with sidekick Tommy Noodles, Powershift is a
two-hour show covering all forms of motorsports, and features a lively
blend of interviews, commentary and audience interaction.  Powershift
airs weeknights at 8:00 p.m. on the XM Sports Nation channel 144.
