Race fans will get the opportunity to “track and treat” at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, as part of The NASCAR Foundation Track Walk to benefit The NASCAR Foundation and Speedway Children’s Charities’ (SCC) Atlanta Chapter.

The event will wrap up The NASCAR Foundation Track Walk season that in 2007, has boasted Track Walks at five NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series tracks with 3,000 walkers raising nearly $100,000 for charitable causes.

In addition to the walk, The NASCAR Foundation and Speedway Children’s Charities will host the first-ever Halloween Festival on Souvenir Row, featuring a driver look-alike contest, candy, games, family fun and much more!

The Track Walk is a great way for friends, family members and co-workers to get an insider’s view of the fastest, most exciting track in NASCAR, while at the same time raising funds for some very worthy causes. Speedway Children’s Charities provides funds to organizations that meet the direct needs of children. From mentoring programs to camps for special needs children, SCC’s mission is to help children by supporting organizations that work to see that children's needs are met and that no child is left behind regardless of illness, social environment or disability.

Speedway Children’s Charities is a part of The NASCAR Foundation Family of Charities. The NASCAR Foundation embodies the compassion of the NASCAR Family and its commitment to serving communities. The Foundation will use the strength of the sport and its people to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.

Registration fees for the walk are $30 for each individual, and children under the age of 14 are free with a paying adult. Participants are able to register as individuals or teams and are encouraged to raise money through friends, family and colleagues. Registered walkers at each walk that raise over $150 through team online fundraising are eligible for some unique NASCAR-themed prizes.
