Saturday, November 3, 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM

Whitestone, NY - (October 24, 2007): To encourage women entering, or
re-entering, the workforce to look at careers in the retail automotive
industry, the Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association (GNYADA) has
planned an automotive career networking event, Women in the Driver's Seat.
The free program, which includes a panel discussion by women who have
excelled in the industry and workshops that focus on safety and car care,
will take place at the Center for Automotive Education & Training, at 15-30
Petracca Place, Whitestone, Queens, on Saturday, November 3rd between 10:30
a.m. to 2 p.m.

Special guests include City Council Speaker Christine Quinn and
AskPatty.com's Joy DeVere who will be joined by representatives from
automobile dealerships for a panel discussion about jobs in the industry.
The informal program includes the following workshops:

o How to Properly Install a Child Safety Seat - Marjorie Marciano, NYC DOT

o Routine Vehicle Maintenance for Safety - Alice DeCristo, Toyota

o Vehicle Safety - Peter Ruiz, NYS DMV

The retail automobile industry offers a wide variety of unique and
challenging careers. In addition to competitive salaries, great benefits
and opportunity for advancement, today's dealerships are modern, clean,
air-conditioned and safe. Dealerships in our area need billers, sales
professionals, department managers, receptionists, technicians, and
administrators.

"This is a great way to learn about the many rewarding automotive careers
now available to women. Responsible, hard-working individuals will find
great opportunities and a myriad of careers available at area auto
dealerships," said Sheila Meyer, GNYADA Chairwomen.

The Center for Automotive Education & Training is located at 15-30 Petracca
