NHRA (LAS VEGAS) - PRE-RACE ADVANCE ACDELCO NATIONALS

WHAT: Seventh annual ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals, the 22nd of 23 events in the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series and the first of two races in the Countdown to One.

Professional competitors in four categories earn points leading to 2007 NHRA POWERade Series world championships. Eight Top Fuel drivers will compete in the Technicoat Top Fuel Shootout, a race-within-a-race bonus event.

Sportsman competitors in four categories earn points leading to 2007 NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series world championships.

WHERE: The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Las Vegas. Track is located approximately 15 miles north of downtown Las Vegas off Interstate 15.

WHEN: Thursday through Sunday, Oct. 25-28, 2007

PURSE: Cash and contingency awards of more than $1.8 million.

SCHEDULE:

THURSDAY, Oct. 25 – Sportsman qualifying and time trials, 8 a.m.

FRIDAY, Oct. 26 – Sportsman qualifying and eliminations begin at 8 a.m.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFYING SESSIONS at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

SATURDAY, Oct. 27 – Sportsman eliminations begin at 8 a.m.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFYING SESSIONS at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

TECHNICOAT TOP FUEL SHOOTOUT, with rounds at 1 p.m., 3:20 p.m. and 4:45 p.m.

SUNDAY, Oct. 28 – Pre-race ceremonies, 10 a.m.

FINAL ELIMINATIONS begin at 11 a.m.
