Zipcar Strengthens Premier Executive Team - Appoints Chief Financial Officer

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Oct. 23, 2007 -- Zipcar, the world's largest car sharing service, today announced that it has named Edward Goldfinger to the position of Chief Financial Officer. The appointment further strengthens Zipcar's management team as the company moves forward with strategic growth initiatives.

With more than twenty years of business and financial experience, Mr. Goldfinger will be responsible for Zipcar's finance strategy and operations. As Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Goldfinger will report directly to Zipcar CEO, Scott Griffith.

Mr. Goldfinger joins Zipcar from Boston-based Spotfire, Inc., where he served as Chief Financial Officer and was instrumental in the successful sale of the company to TIBCO Software. Prior to Spotfire, Mr. Goldfinger served as President and CEO of Empirix Inc. where he led the company through a period of strong growth and improved financial performance. Before Empirix, he was CFO of publicly-traded Sapient Corporation and was CFO of the Latin American beverage business of PepsiCo... Mr. Goldfinger began his career in public accounting with KPMG and he holds a Bachelors of Science in Economics degree from the Wharton Undergraduate program at the University of Pennsylvania.

Zipcar closed its second institutional round of funding for $25 million led by Greylock Partners in the fall of 2006. During the past year, it opened two new metropolitan markets - London and Vancouver - as well as expanded "Zipcar on campus" to more than 50 university partners in 17 North American states and provinces. Mr. Goldfinger joins other recent additions to Zipcar's growing senior team, including Steve Bishop, VP- Chicago, and Ellice Perez, VP- Washington DC.
