Career Services Available to Employees Laid Off By Automotive Resources Inc. in Philadelphia

HARRISBURG, Pa., Oct. 22, 2007 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Department of Labor & Industry's rapid response coordination services division will conduct informational meetings on Friday, Oct. 26, exclusively for workers laid off by Automotive Resources Inc. at Recon Automotive Manufacturing, Philadelphia.

The meetings will be held at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Marriott Courtyard, 8900 Bartram Ave., Philadelphia. Eligibility for these informational meetings includes leased workers from Randstad, Careers USA and PK Express Services who were assigned to work at Recon Automotive Manufacturing.

Job search, career counseling and other employment services are available to affected employees. Information about unemployment compensation, health care options, assistance with professional job placement, skills assessment, community resources and retraining through Labor & Industry's rapid response coordination services and the Pennsylvania CareerLink network will be provided at the meetings.
