R. L. Polk & Co. Establishes Advisory Board To Focus on General Motors Business

Experienced, Knowledgeable Executives to Offer Insight and Direction
SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Oct. 22 -- R. L. Polk & Co. announced today that it has formed an Advisory Board to help the company focus on its General Motors business globally. This unique board is charged with advising on Polk's strategic position within GM. The General Motors Advisory Board will be tasked with reviewing Polk's OEM product offerings, providing input on Polk's alignment with GM and assisting in devising strategies to grow customer relationships on a global basis. The announcement was made by Stephen Polk, chairman, president and CEO of Polk.
Polk's General Motors Advisory Board consists of individuals who have a wealth of experience in both the business world and the automotive sector. The board includes: Pete Gerosa, former general sales and service manager for Cadillac and former vice president of Field Sales, Service and Parts for General Motors North America; Ray Rota, former general sales and marketing manager for GMC Truck Division; and Paul Baffico, former president of Sears Automotive Group and former chairman and CEO of Western Auto.
"Members of the General Motors Advisory Board will supply valuable input that will assist us in providing GM powerful, market-based solutions on a global basis," said Mike Gingell, vice president of Polk's OEM Group, General Motors Team. Gingell added, "The knowledge and experience of our board members will become a vital resource as we focus on building a stronger and more intimate relationship with General Motors.

The General Motors Advisory Board will meet with Polk executives on a regular basis in order to accomplish the established objectives.
