NASCAR (MARTINSVILLE) - Virginia Motorsports Museum and Hall of Fame Hosts Saturday Showing of Artist Garry Hill's Work
For years, artist Garry Hill's paintings have brought NASCAR to life. And, as the sport's popularity has grown, so has the popularity of Hills work.
Hill's paintings have become a part of NASCAR lore – much like the site of Sunday's week's NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race, Martinsville Speedway in Martinsville, Va. Thus, it seems an appropriate time for Hill's paintings to be on display Saturday in nearby Stuart, Va. at the Virginia Motorsports Museum and Hall of Fame. The showing is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Highlights of Hill's work include two special limited edition fine art print series. “The Great Moments In Racing” series documents the history of NASCAR racing while “The All Star” series focuses on the annual NASCAR NEXTEL All- Star Challenge races. Many of the prints available are autographed by drivers such as Dale Earnhardt, Jeff Gordon, Richard Petty, Bill Elliot, Dale Jarrett, Bobby and Davey Allison, Junior Johnson, Kevin Harvick, Jimmie Johnson and Ryan Newman.
Hill's work can be viewed on-line at www.garryhill.com
