SAE International Promotes Engineering Education at Science Teacher Conference

WARRENDALE, Pa., Oct. 16 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Lindsay Brooke, senior editor of SAE International's magazines, will promote the value of automotive engineering education at the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) regional conference in Detroit, Oct. 18, 2007-20.

His presentation, "Hybrids, Hydrogen, Diesels, Gas - Why Tomorrow's Auto Engineers Need You," is set during the Physics Day sessions Oct. 18, 8-9:15 a.m., in Cobo Center Room O2-33.

Brooke will discuss the latest automotive technology trends and how SAE International's educational programs, A World In Motion(R) (AWIM) and the Collegiate Design Series, provide teachers with the tools they need to develop today's students into tomorrow's engineers.

Teachers also will be given the opportunity to participate in AWIM activities, also known as "challenges," throughout the conference. The challenges include:
