Robot-Racing Produces Carbon Fiber Roof Assembly for DiMora Motorcar's $2 Million Automobile
Leaders in military aerospace composites join DiMora Motorcar as a new Natalia SLS 2 Technology Partner
STOW, Mass., Oct. 3 -- Robot-Racing, LLC, and its manufacturing affiliate, Radant Technologies, Inc., a leader in carbon fiber design and manufacture, have joined the growing list of innovative Technology Partners supporting DiMora Motorcar's development of the Natalia SLS 2 sport luxury sedan. They will manufacture the vehicle's roof frame assembly using carbon fiber materials and autoclave processing.
This radical roof assembly-based upon DiMora's rigorous design parameters requiring aerospace carbon fiber techniques-will be far lighter and stronger than the roof structures of current production luxury automobiles.
Radant Technologies will produce the roof frame assemblies in their 75,000 square foot custom facility in Stow, Massachusetts. The use of Radant-designed molds and high temperature autoclave processing, will ensure the structural integrity of DiMora's unique carbon fiber roof assembly.
"Our objective is to achieve the torsional stiffness required for the safety and smooth ride of a luxury automobile, while minimizing the weight of the vehicle to maximize performance," said Alfred DiMora, Founder and CEO of DiMora Motorcar. "Using aerospace technologies developed by Radant and our design team, the Natalia SLS 2 will be about a ton lighter than luxury automobiles of similar size. Carbon fiber has far more strength per pound than steel. When we combine our lightweight chassis with the 1200-horsepower DiMora Volcano V16 engine, the vehicle's performance will set new standards for luxury automobiles."
