Gigliotti Fastest in SPEED GT Practice at Road Atlanta

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Gigliotti Fastest in SPEED GT Practice at Road Atlanta

BRASELTON, Ga., (October 3, 2007) - Lou Gigliotti, of Dallas, Texas,
paced the field in morning practice for Round Nine of the SCCA Pro
Racing SPEED World Challenge GT Championship, part of the 10th
Anniversary Petit Le Mans. Randy Pobst, of Gainesville, Ga., and Michael
Galati, of Olmsted, Ohio, were second and third fastest, respectively.

Despite a steady sprinkle in the closing moments of the 20-minute
practice session, Gigliotti put his No. 28 LG Pro Long Tube Headers
Chevrolet Corvette on the top of the time sheets with a 1:26.118
(106.179 mph) on his final hot lap. The time is under the current
qualifying record of 1:26.441 (105.783 mph).

"It was sprinkling in the last little bit of the session and I think we
could have gotten another couple of tenths," Gigliotti said. "We need
another five tenths for the pole. I know we have a top three, top four
car. I don't know if we have a number one car.

"I love Road Atlanta," Gigliotti added. "I love high-speed tracks. Any
track with 120 mph corners is my kind of race track. If we have a dry
line, it's going to be a hell of a race."

Current SCCA SPEED GT point leader Pobst ended the session in second.
The Georgia driver entered a time of 1:26.211 (106.065 mph) in his No.
22 K-PAX Racing LLC/Jim Haughey Porsche 911 GT3. His teammate, Galati,
in the No. 23 K-PAX Racing LLC/Jim Haughey Porsche 911 GT3 was third
fastest with a time of 1:26.379 (105.859 mph).

The pair were leading the session before a red flag came out for the No.
82 McCann Plastics/K&N Filters Dodge Viper of Michal McCann, which made
contact with the wall in Turn One. McCann was uninjured, but the car
suffered significant front-end damage.

Andy Pilgrim, of Boca Raton, Fla., led the Cadillac contingent in his
No. 8 XM/Mobil 1/Motorola/Bose Cadillac CTS-V, finishing the session in
fourth with a time of 1:26.391 (105.844 mph). Eric Curran, of East
Hampton, Mass., winner of the previous two races, was fifth fastest. The
driver of the No. 30 Whelen Engineering Chevrolet Corvette put in a time
of 1:26.474 (105.742 mph).

Defending SCCA SPEED GT Champion Lawson Aschenbach (Cadillac CTS-V)
ended the session in sixth, followed by teammate Ron Fellows (Cadillac
CTS-V).

Brian Kubinski (Chevrolet Corvette), James Sofronas (Porsche 911 GT3)
and Cindi Lux (Dodge Viper), completed the top ten.

The second SCCA SPEED GT practice session will go green at 5:25 p.m.
(EDT) today. Qualifying is set for 1:20 p.m. on Thursday. Live timing
