The annual Dr. Clarence Livingood Humanitarian Award will also be awarded to Dr. Ian T. Jackson of Providence Hospital.
Jim Hughes, Executive Director of CATCH, is looking forward to this year's event: "Each year, Night of Champions incorporates the theme of 'celebrating children and champions of children.' What makes this event so special is that we will raise significant dollars to help sick, injured and needy children, and in doing so, we will recognize four individuals who have spent so much of their own time doing just that, helping children."
Tickets for the Night of Champions XVIII are $175. All proceeds benefit CATCH, Sparky Anderson's charity for children. Founded in 1987, CATCH raises fund for items and services that improve the quality of life of sick, injured and needy pediatric patients who receive care from Children's Hospital and Henry Ford Hospital. Included is the CATCH Pediatric Mobile Health Programs that provide basic health services for Detroit children who experience barriers to accessing health care.
