Volvo Cars of North America Sales Report for September 2007

IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 2, 2007 -- Volvo Cars of North America, LLC (VCNA) reports sales of 8,425 units in the United States* for the month, representing a decrease of 13.1 percent compared to the same period last year. For the year, sales are down 9.9 percent in the U.S.
Overall in North America (United States, Puerto Rico, Canada and Mexico), Volvo sales were off 12.3 percent for the month, with 9,443 units sold. In Canada, 785 units were sold, while Mexico recorded sales of 233.
Year-to-date sales in North America trail last year by 9.4 percent, with a total of 100,121 units sold in 2006.
Volvo Cars of North America, LLC (VCNA), based in Irvine, Calif., is a subsidiary of Volvo Car Corporation of Goteborg, Sweden. VCNA provides marketing, sales, parts, service, technology and training support to Volvo automobile retailers in the United States, and oversees Volvo operations in Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
