China Premium Lifestyle Attends World Economic Forum in Dalian, China
HONG KONG--More than 1,000 foremost global companies from 90 countries attended the World Economic Forum’s Inaugural Annual Meeting of the "New Champions" which took place in Dalian, China on 6-8 September. At the core of the “New Champions” are the Global Growth Companies, a new generation of companies that will fundamentally change the global competitive landscape.
Addressing the role of the New Champions, Mr. Wen Jiabao, Premier of the People’s Republic of China, praised the Forum for reflecting the international community’s "strong desire to establish a new international economic order." Yet only with constant innovation, Mr. Wen said, can these companies continue to grow. "Be brave, be innovative and never cease in this endeavor," he told the audience.
China Premium Lifestyle Enterprise, Inc. (OTCBB:CPMM), represented by Mr. Richard Lee, Chairman and CEO of CPMM, also participated in this by-invitation-only World Economic Forum. Mr. Lee said, “I was very pleased to have been invited by the City of Dalian to attend this Forum and to have the opportunity of meeting so many top executives of leading corporations. They all showed great enthusiasm to cultivate the market opportunities in China with the conviction that the future success of their companies would have growing dependence on their success in China". He continued: "By moving from Davos to Dalian, the World Economic Forum underscores a clear message that China has emerged as one of the most influential emerging markets and driving engines of the world economy. CPMM’s current aggressive investments as the exclusive distributor of luxury premium lifestyle brands and products in China are therefore rightfully anchored.”
Mr. Lee also made particular reference to the growing economic potential of the North Eastern region of China, by referring to U.S. computer-chip giant INTEL's recent ground-breaking on a new US$2.5 billion factory in Dalian that will employ 2,500 workers. He said: "This further confirms our view of the great potential Dalian and the entire North East region of China will have in the future. Our existing Ferrari/Maserati dealership in Dalian is performing well above budget, and we are now accelerating our pace to further develop our retail network in that region."
China Premium Lifestyle Enterprise, through its 49%-owned entity, has established itself as a leading Ferrari and Maserati importer, distributor and dealer in Hong Kong and dealer in China, having been affiliated with Ferrari and Maserati since 1992 and 1994 respectively. The company is expanding its offerings to include other luxury brands and goods from around the world, which it markets to its already established base of wealthy Chinese individuals.
