David Stremme and the No. 40 Energizer Dodge Team Facts:
* Keep Going: This weekend as David Stremme takes to the track at Kansas Speedway for the LifeLock 400 he will again be taking on board with him the bright blue trademark logo of the Energizer Lithium paint scheme - the World's Longest Lasting battery in High Tech Devices. This will be Stremme's fourth run piloting the No. 40 Energizer Dodge, which secured two top-20 finishes earlier this season at Bristol Motor Speedway and Richmond International Raceway. Hopefully, Stremme's streak will keep going and going.
* Meet David Stremme: Don't miss your chance to meet David Stremme and your favorite drivers and have a lot of fun at Kansas RaceFest 2007! Stremme will be in attendance to sign autographs from 6 to 7pm at The Legends at Village West Race Fest, Thursday, September 27th. * NASCAR drivers to say 'thanks' to wounded soldiers: Stremme will pay "Tribute to the Soldiers" this Wednesday, September 26th at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington D.C., along with Brian France and drivers Greg Biffle, Kurt Busch, Jeff Gordon, Ryan Newman, and Tony Stewart. Drivers and executives will participate in the day-long tribute to the nation's soldiers, their families and hospital staff members with autograph sessions, ward visits, and a Q&A session.
* Standings Update: Stremme and the No.40 car finished 39th at the 'The Monster Mile' last weekend at Dover and are currently seated 26th in NNCS points.
* Chassis: Crew chief Steve Lane and the No. 40 Dodge team have selected chassis #621 for this weekend's LifeLock 400 at Kansas Speedway. The last time chassis #621 saw action was last month on the oval of Michigan International Speedway.
* When to Watch: The green flag is set to wave Sunday, September 30th at 1 p.m. E.T. at Kansas Speedway. The LifeLock 400 will air live on ABC, MRN Radio, and Sirius Satellite Radio channel 128.
Reed Sorenson and the No. 41 Target Dodge Team Facts:
* TUMS Day at GSK: Sorenson, along with team owner Chip Ganassi, spent Tuesday at GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (GSK) headquarters, located in Pittsburgh, greeting the company's employees at the iconic TUMS "Dinermobile." Additionally, Sorenson delivered a trophy and Top TUMS honors to the winner of the TUMS'Tastic Tastes of Pittsburgh Survey - Primanti Brothers. Sorenson and Ganassi also participated in various media activities throughout the day.
* One Fast Ride: Crew chief Jimmy Elledge has selected chassis #402 for this weekend's event at Kansas Speedway. This is the same car Sorenson used to capture his first-career NEXTEL Cup Series pole position with at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on July 28. After starting from the pole and leading a total of 16 laps, Sorenson went on to take the checkered flag in fifth place.
* Points Update: Sorenson and the Target team maintained 23rd in the overall NEXTEL Cup Series driver standings after the last event at Dover Int'l. Speedway. The team is 213 points out of 20th with eight races remaining in the 2007 season.
* And the Winner is [drum roll, please] ... CGRFS announced early last week the winner of its inaugural Drive4Design contest. Heath Harmon, of Spokane, Wash., was named the Grand Prize winner of the apparel design competition, which involved two fan favorites and essentials-a t-shirt and cap. Earlier this year, CGRFS invited NASCAR fans to turn their ideas into reality with the "Drive4Design Contest," encouraging motorsports enthusiasts to create their own unique fan gear. The CGRFS drivers took part in the selection process, along with other CGRFS team members. Harmon's creation will be produced in partnership with Chase Authentics and sold this fall at the CGRFS Concord, N.C., gift shop and at the online gift shop at http://www.chipganassiracing.com/">www.chipganassiracing.com. In addition to watching his t-shirt and hat designs come to life, Harmon will be treated to a complimentary Charlotte race weekend trip for two this October. First prize winners were Ryan Villnow of New Richmond, Wis.; Stephen Whiting of Winter Springs, Fla.; Connie Deighton of Buckeye, Ariz.; and Daniel Barrr of Deep Gap, N.C. * Ladies' Night Returns to CGRFS: After a successful debut in 2006, Ladies' Night is returning this October to the Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates (CGRFS) Concord, N.C., race shop Wednesday, October 10 (6:30 to 8:30 p.m. ET), with more fun festivities. In addition to free admission and a complimentary behind-the-scenes tour of the CGRFS race shop, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be on the house for all attendees.
