HEATHROW, FL - September 25, 2007: With more Americans pressed for time and bound by economic restrictions, the American Automobile Association (AAA) reports long vacations are becoming a thing of the past. Rather than taking a standard two-week trip, AAA indicates most Americans are taking shorter excursions. By traveling closer to home and during off-peak seasons like the fall, one can receive better prices and travel more frequently.
However, regardless of the season, safety experts from General Motors recommend drivers have their vehicle inspected, check all fluid levels and ensure the tires are properly inflated, before heading on a trip.
