Ryan Smith Pleased with Run at Eldora Speedway
Kunkletown, Penn. (September 23, 2007) – Ryan Smith headed to Eldora
Speedway on Saturday to participate in the USAC 4 Crown Nationals.
Although he finished 20th, he was pleased with the fact that he was
the only ARDC car to make the field in the feature race.
“We were just lacking motor power,?? the 19 year-old explained.
“We really didn’t get too far, but I learned so much.??
Ryan is the current rookie leader in the ARDC Midget series and is
sitting fourth in overall points. With such a successful season so
far in the series, the No. 54 Burke Trucking team decided at the last
minute to participate in the events at Eldora.
“We’ve really got our car running well [in the ARDC series],??
commented the college student. “We thought we would come out to
Eldora and just give it a shot and I’m pretty pleased overall.??
Ryan will have a couple of weekends off from the ARDC series, but he
heads to Linda’s Speedway this weekend where he will be running the
No. 2 Tresch Motorsports micro sprint.
