NayKid on the Big Stage - Lux and White Enter Road Atlanta
Round of SPEED World Challenge
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NayKid on the Big Stage - Lux and White Enter
Road Atlanta Round of SPEED World Challenge
Magnitude and Importance of Atlanta Event Brings NayKid Racing to Penultimate GT Race
BRASELTON, Ga., September 24, 2007 - NayKid Racing will compete in the final two events of
the 2007 SCCA SPEED World Challenge GT season.
The team had scheduled to run only once more in
their first year racing the Dodge Viper Competition
Coupe; the October 21st event in Monterey, Calif.
However, the program's recent success on-track and
the overall importance of the Petit Le Mans weekend
led principals Cindi Lux (Aloha, Ore.) and Scotty B.
White (Lake Tapps, Wash.) to include the SCCA
SPEED GT at the Petit Le Mans. It is hoped that the
choice to make the cross-country trek for the October
5th event at Road Atlanta will help maintain the
momentum generated in recent races.

The No. 2 Dodge/Mintex Brakes/MOMO Dodge Viper
Competition Coupe of Lux and White's No. 3 Corsa
Performance/Forgeline Dodge Viper Comp. Coupe,
which struggled early in the return to professional
motorsports, began grabbing attention and headlines
at their second race of the season; Salt Lake City's
Miller Motorsports Park. Lux walked away with the Top-
Rookie of the Race Award while White earned the
Sunoco Hard Charger Award for most positions
gained in the event. While the 2007 rules adjustments
have, in large part, made it nearly impossible for the
Dodge Viper Comp. Coupe to compete head-to-head
with other cars in the GT Series, NayKid Racing has
made serious progress over their limited season. By
the most recent race at Mosport International
Raceway, the two past SCCA Club Racing
Champions were regularly fighting it out in the top-10
of the Series.
Road Atlanta's 2.54-mile, 12-turn facility is one of the
classic American road courses. The track, tucked
within the hills of north Georgia just an hour outside of
Atlanta, is among the fastest circuits in the country. It
draws many similarities to Mosport where both Lux
and White impressed the competition despite having
two different race strategies in the wet-dry conditions.
The Road Atlanta weekend will be the team's fifth
SPEED World Challenge GT race of the season.
The Tenth Anniversary of the great Road Atlanta race
puts the Northwest-based team on one of the biggest
stages of the international motorsports calendar. That
stage seems perfect to not only show the team's
growing prowess in the Series but also a way to
support the team's major marketing partners. Corsa
Performance Exhaust, Mintex Brakes and MOMO USA
along with Forgeline Wheels and Red Line Oil among
others all view the SCCA SPEED GT at the Petit Le
Mans as the ultimate arena to display their products to
the wider motorsports community and fans. Only one
other event, the season-opening 12 Hours of Sebring
where the SPEED GT Series plays a key supporting
role, can place these partners in front of such a wide
range of customers and potential customers. The
success that NayKid Racing has on the track pushes
that potential.
The SPEED GT race from Road Atlanta can be seen
on SPEED Channel, Saturday, October 13 at 3 pm
(ET).
Quotes
Cindi Lux, Driver, No. 2: "Petit Le Mans is just too
big of an event for us to not attend, especially for our
sponsors. This race is just insane with all the crowds
and the exposure level is huge. So the business
decision was made for us to make the long haul
across the country to this fantastic race track. The last
time I raced at Road Atlanta was in 2000 in a Porsche
in ALMS and I know a lot has changed since then. It's
a super fast track and that is something that both
Scotty and I really prefer from a drivers standpoint with
our Vipers."
Scotty B. White, Driver, No. 3: "We learned so
much at Mosport about our cars. Unfortunately, we
were not able to showcase that knowledge do to the
nutty weather. In spite of the compromised setups
both cars briefly dipped into the top-ten. We just plan
to build on what we learned and fight our way solidly
into the top-ten at Atlanta. I am so looking forward to
running Road Atlanta. It is an incredible track. It should
be a blast for the Viper. Cindi has a lot of experience
there and will be a big help for us. The weekend also
provides an incredible opportunity to showcase our
partners like CORSA, Mintex and MOMO because of
the huge crowd. This is gonna be a HOOT!"
Rob Dommes, Marketing and Racing Manager,
MOMO USA: "Pro racing is important for MOMO
because it allows us an opportunity for testing new
ideas and products. This gives us valuable feedback
from drivers and teams to perfect the product before it
goes into production. NayKid Racing has proven to
work in a very professional manner and has been
beneficial to MOMO because of the feedback that we
get from the team. Their reports on new product
testing have helped to refine new products that are
now in production."
Fred Callahan, Motorsports Program Manager,
Mintex: "One of the largest racing market
increases Mintex Racing has experienced this year
has come from the Speed World Challenge Series.
This can be linked to NayKid Racing's presence in the
Series and Mintex logos on their cars. NayKid Racing
is a good fit. It has more to do with people identifying
their race cars as 'real' cars. They have increased our
name recognition of the Mintex brand itself, but also to
our Mintex Xtreme line of pads, which is our high
performance street pads."
Gautam Pathak, Director, Product Development &
O.E. Sales, CORSA Performance: "Corsa
Performance has a reputation for being a leader in the
field of exhaust noise attenuation technology. We
enjoy being associated with race partners that have a
reputation for success and attention to detail in
everything they do. NayKid Racing gives us a
technically advanced platform to showcase our
products and the team members do a great job of
educating potential customers about the benefits of
our technology."
