ROBERTSON LEADS REGIONAL MIDGETS TO BERLIN;

SERIES RUNNER-UP PRUETT FOUND DEAD IN HIS ARIZONA HOME

            James Roberson of Indianapolis, Ind. leads the 2007 USAC Regional Midget Series standings going into Saturday's race at Berlin Raceway in Marne, Mich. A 30-lap feature is on tap at the .438-mile paved oval.

            Saturday's race will be the 32nd for USAC at Berlin Raceway but only the second USAC Midget appearance there in 39 years. Bobby East won the last USAC full Midget race there in 2002.

            Regional series participants were saddened to learn of the untimely death of Carefree, Arizona driver Alex Pruett, who passed away at his Arizona home Friday night. The 20-year-old Pruett earned USAC feature victories at Mansfield, Ohio (Aug. 10) and New Castle, Ind. (Aug. 26) and ranked second in the 2007 Regional standings.
