Belle Tire Enters Windshield Replacement and Repair Market as Largest in Michigan

Retailer Also Offers Mobile Glass Replacement

ALLEN PARK, Mich., Sept. 24 -- Starting October 1, Belle Tire will offer auto windshield replacement and repair at its 80 Michigan locations, instantly making it the largest replacement glass installation company in Michigan and the fifth-largest in the United States. Onsite and mobile windshield replacement service will be available in addition to in-store stone-chip repairs. The same services will be available at Belle Tire's Ohio locations beginning December 1.

"Customers can now count on us for convenient, professional windshield replacement along with the many other services we provide," said Don Barnes, president of Belle Tire. "The windshield is part of the structural integrity of a vehicle and needs to be installed correctly. We have the highest quality glass for every make and model, a team of professional technicians ready to go, and you'll receive the guaranteed lowest out-the-door retail pricing."

Belle Tire is compliant with the Automotive Glass Replacement Safety Standard (AGRSS), North America's only auto glass replacement standard. It ensures every technician is trained on the procedures for removing and installing auto glass. Glass installed by Belle Tire will meet all applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS).

The company will offer OE-quality, brand-for-brand windshields, as well as factory-quality adhesives, resulting in the best fit and helping to maintain the vehicle's structural integrity, which is critical in case of an accident.

Factory-quality windshields also provide better optical quality. Distortion affects the way the driver sees the road - and other cars. Windshield wipers are designed to work best with the factory windshield due to the designed-in curvatures. Aftermarket windshields tend to have less "sag" or top-to-bottom curvature. This can result in flat spots where the wipers may skip or not clear the glass as effectively.

Belle Tire will be registered with all major insurance companies in order to expedite insurance claims. Consumers can call 1-800-NEW-GLASS (800-639-4527) to schedule an appointment at any Belle Tire location.

Belle Tire, family-owned and operated, is based in Allen Park, Mich. The company has 80 stores in Michigan and Ohio. For more information visit www.belletire.com.
