GLENDORA, Calif. (Sept. 23, 2007) – NHRA announced today that O’Reilly Auto Parts has agreed to a multi-year extension to be the title rights sponsor of the O’Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Fall Nationals at Texas Motorplex through 2010. O’Reilly Auto Parts is the only title rights sponsor the event has had this decade, stretching back to 1999, the first year of the sponsorship.

"O'Reilly Auto Parts is extremely excited to have the opportunity to continue our long-term association with NHRA and the Texas Motorplex,” said Ron Byerly, vice president of advertising and marketing for O'Reilly Auto Parts. "Our relationship with NHRA has grown significantly over the years and we welcome the opportunity to continue to enable our customers to experience the excitement of NHRA POWERade Drag Racing.”

Few would argue O’Reilly Auto Parts’ deep commitment to NHRA. In addition to the O’Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Fall Nationals, the auto parts giant maintains title rights sponsorship of five additional NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series events, in Houston, St. Louis, Bristol, Topeka and Memphis. Recently, O’Reilly Auto Parts signed a long-term naming rights deal to historic O’Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis, home to the largest drag racing event in the world, the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals. O’Reilly also is series sponsor of the successful O’Reilly Auto Parts Jr. Drag Racing League, an NHRA series for youths ages 8 to 17.

“O’Reilly Auto Parts continues to be an outstanding partner for NHRA,” said Gary Darcy, senior vice president of sales and marketing for NHRA. “We appreciate O’Reilly’s significant involvement in NHRA Drag Racing, from our grassroots programs to the NHRA POWERade Series. We look forward to working with O’Reilly Auto Parts for many years to come.”

Next year’s O’Reilly Fall Nationals is scheduled for September 18-21, 2008.

“O'Reilly continues to be one of the best sponsors in the sport of drag racing and we're proud to have them as part of the Texas Motorplex family,” Texas Motorplex General Manager Arthur O'Bright said. “Our relationship as facility and primary sponsor has just improved and made the O'Reilly Fall Nationals even better throughout the years and we're looking forward to continuing this partnership for many years to come.”
