GMAC Financial Services Voted 'Captive Finance Company of the Year'
More than 1,800 dealers voted in annual F&I magazine poll
DETROIT, Sept. 19 -- For the second straight year, automotive dealers voted GMAC Financial Services as "Captive Finance Company of the Year" in an online poll conducted by F&I Management and Technology magazine. The award was presented to GMAC today at the magazine's fifth-annual Finance and Insurance Conference and Expo in Las Vegas.
More than 1,800 dealers voted in this year's F&I contest, selecting their preferred captive and non-captive finance companies via the magazine's website from July 17 to Aug. 21. The award recognizes finance companies that provide outstanding service to their dealers.
Eighteen other companies were included in the captive category, and GMAC earned 7 percent more votes than the second-place company. GMAC, the world's largest auto finance provider, also won "Captive Finance Company of the Year" in 2006.
"GMAC is especially honored to accept this award because it was voted on by our dealers, whose success we measure as our own," said David Jones, GMAC vice president of Consumer Credit, Operations Support and Plans, who accepted the award on behalf of GMAC. "GMAC has nearly 90 years of experience and a stable and reliable track record of helping dealers manage their business and serve their customers through innovative retail, lease, insurance and wholesale financing programs."
The poll, in its third year, was sponsored by RouteOne. About GMAC Financial Services
