General Motors (China) Confident of Selling One Million Cars This Year

With a total investment of 2 billion yuan ($266 million), the new engine plant in Liuzhou, Guangxi province of Southwest China, is the largest single project invested by SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile.
The engine plant is designed to produce 300,000 engines annually. Meanwhile, Shen Yang, general manager of SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile, said his company plans to build another engine plant with a similiar annual output in Qingdao, Shandong province in 2009.
