"I can't think of a more deserving person to be the first recipient of our Commercial Vehicle Lifetime Achievement Award," Raymond Morris, executive vice president and COO of SAE International, said. "The award was created to honor someone who has shown tremendous vision and leadership throughout their career, and Jack Curcio certainly has done that. I want to congratulate him on this award as well as all of his many accomplishments."

A member of SAE International for nearly five decades, Curcio has been active with many operating boards and committees, including serving as Chairman of the SAE British Columbia Section; Chairman of the SAE Pacific West Coast Meeting in Vancouver, British Columbia; Chairman of the SAE Sections Board; and Chairman of the SAE International Truck and Bus Meeting on two separate occasions. He was also one of the original directors when the SAE Foundation was formed.
