Chrome Construct pairs raw automotive data with a comprehensive web service interface to enable faster development of complete vehicle configuration and comparison tools

PORTLAND, Ore., Sept. 13 -- Chrome Systems Inc., an industry leader in collecting, enhancing, and distributing best-in-class automotive data, today introduces Chrome Construct, the Chrome-hosted web service that allows application developers to embed Chrome's configuration and comparison technology seamlessly into their own applications. The Chrome Construct simplified development interface, combined with Chrome's ability to continually update, store, and maintain the data used by the applications, significantly shortens development time and reduces development costs.

Chrome Construct is backed by Chrome's 20-year track record of providing accurate and complete vehicle data, and is the next-generation improvement to Chrome's existing configuration and comparison web services used by Vehix.com, Adicio, and other leading companies in the space. Chrome Construct includes all information necessary to configure a vehicle to comply with OEM ordering guides, including style information, style pricing, ordering logic, pricing rules and technical specifications. To meet the demand for vehicle information that can be easily searched and understood by consumers, Chrome Construct also includes the ability to conduct searches based on a wide variety of features and technical specifications (such as all wheel drive, navigation system, transmission, wheelbase, fuel economy, horsepower, etc.). Chrome Construct's powerful comparison tools allow for side-by-side and advantage based comparisons and can automatically find competing vehicles that are similar to the vehicle initially chosen by the application user.

Fully compatible with Chrome's other offerings, including web-based VIN lookup, extensive image libraries, and expert vehicle reviews, Chrome Construct is a significant addition to the Chrome suite of products, all designed to make complex automotive data accessible and understandable for easy research, configuration, pricing, and comparison.

"Chrome Construct is the next-generation of our configuration and comparison web services, used by such giants in the industry as Vehix.com," says Peter Batten, Chrome Systems General Manager. "This new web-service contains the full spectrum of vehicle data that Chrome is known for, in a comprehensive web interface that makes it simple and fast to develop high- powered dealer sites and information-rich portal and media sites. This is the first of several planned web services releases designed to revolutionize vehicle shopping."
