New Nissan Titan Racing Machine Wins Again at WSORR Labor Day Crandon, Wisconsin Event

- Nissan Motorsports-backed Racers Take Five Podiums in Three Classes at Crandon; PRO 4x4 Nissan Titan Racing Truck Scores Eight Podium Finishes Out of Ten 2007 WSORR Events -

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 5 -- Carl Renezeder proved the strength of his new-for-2007 Nissan Titan-bodied PRO 4x4 racing machine with a dominating win at the 38th annual BorgWarner World Championships(C) at the challenging Crandon Raceway in Crandon, Wisc. This victory, in front of record crowds during Rounds 10 and 11 of the Lucas Oil World Series of Off- Road Racing (WSORR) event on September 1 and 2, 2007, marked the continuation of Nissan Motorsports success in closed-course off road racing. Renezeder, of Lake Forest, Calif., also chalked up a third place finish in the money-only BorgWarner Shootout in the PRO 4x4 machine, as well as another third place on Sunday in his 700-horsepower PRO 2WD Titan-bodied race truck.

Also taking their familiar places on the WSORR podium at Crandon were PRO Light Pickup class Nissan Frontier drivers Chad Hord and Art Schmitt. Hord, of Felch, Mich., took a second place in Saturday's Round 10 event, while Schmitt, based out of Pittsburgh, Penn., grabbed a third place on Saturday and a second place in Sunday's Round 11 event. Both Hord and Schmitt compete in 310-plus horsepower Nissan Frontier-bodied racing machines.

"Crandon lived up to its reputation as one of the most challenging off- road racing tracks in the country, but the Nissan Motorsports' teams and drivers were up to task with multiple podiums and another victory for the 4- wheel drive Titan," said Nissan Motorsports Marketing and Operations Senior Manager Ron Stukenberg. "Our 2007 results really speak for themselves, and with only three points separating Chad Hord from the PRO Light Pickup championship, we are sure to continue our success!"

Saturday, September 1 - Round 10 - Two PRO Light Pickup Podiums

Round 10 of PRO Light Pickup marked Nissan Motorsports' consistency and strength, as shown by two podium finishes for the 310-plus horsepower Nissan Frontier-bodied racing machines - Chad Hord in second place and Art Schmitt in third. Hord stayed on the bumper of the leader throughout the tough race, but was unable to pass, while Schmitt was able to battle his way through traffic for his podium spot.

In PRO 4x4, Carl Renezeder started towards the front in his Titan race truck, but a series of incidents and mishaps, including contact between Renezeder's racer and another competitor, resulted in a DNF. In PRO 2WD, Renezeder encountered engine problems and was relegated to a tenth place finish.

Sunday, September 2 - Round 11 - One Win, Three Podiums in Three Classes

Round 11 of PRO Light Pickup saw yet another Frontier on the podium - Art Schmitt with a second place finish. Chad Hord had a tough day with a tenth place finish, but remains only three points behind the leader in the 2007 WSORR PRO Light Pickup class.

Renezeder, after a hard night of repairs to his Titan-bodied racing machines, came back with more intensity than ever. In the PRO 2WD event, Renezeder tore through the pack early and finished with a hard-fought third place. It was in PRO 4x4, however, that the hard work by Renezeder's team paid off - he started on the pole of the race and never looked back, easily covering the field. This marked the second WSORR win for the new-for-2007 Titan racing machine.

Renezeder continued to fight the good fight during the BorgWarner Shootout, a unique ten-lap non-points race that pits PRO 4x4 trucks against PRO 2WD and Super Truck 2-wheel drive pickups in a "Le Mans"-style start. In his PRO 4x4 Nissan Titan-bodied racing machine, which started behind the other classes, Renezeder battled through the 22-truck field to emerge in third place overall.

"There's a lot to take into account when it comes to finding success in these races," said Renezeder. "But the combination of my team and Nissan Motorsports certainly takes a lot of the variables out of the equation."
