David Stremme and the No. 40 Energizer Dodge Team Facts:
* Energizer on Board... The No. 40 Dodge will sport the
Energizer(r) e2(r) Lithium(r) paint scheme for a second time this season
at RIR. Stremme drove the scheme previously at the Food City 500 at
Bristol Motor Speedway and finished 13th. The dynamic silver and blue
paint scheme will feature Energizer(r) e2(r) Lithium, the World's
Longest Lasting Battery in High Tech Devices, alongside the famous
Energizer Bunny(r).
* "Mayor of the Infield"...Stremme was dubbed "mayor of the
infield" last week in the NASCAR.com article titled NASCAR offers a
unique bond between fans, drivers. Stremme is known for becoming "mayor
of the infield" so to speak at some of NASCAR's biggest races. Be it
alone, or with his teammate Juan Pablo Montoya, Stremme loves to hop on
his golf cart and drop in on unsuspecting NASCAR fans. Check out the
story here
<http://www.nascar.com/2007/news/headlines/cup/08/27/rswan.driver.access

r.pdf> that confirms Stremme's status of "mayor of the infield".
* Chassis: Crew chief Steve Lane and the No. 40 team have selected
chassis #746 for this weekend. This is a new CoT that will see
competition for the first time this weekend.
* Points Update: Stremme is currently 23rd in the overall NEXTEL
Cup Series driver standings with a total of 2236 points. Stremme is
only 136 points out of 20th heading into Richmond

multi-year extension to their long-lasting relationship that dates back
over a decade. Energizer will continue to showcase its brand as a major

Juan Pablo Montoya and the No. 42 Texaco/Havoline Dodge Avenger Team
Facts:
* Back in Black: Juan Pablo Montoya's No. 42 Dodge Avenger will
return to its black and red colors of Texaco/Havoline for the final 11
races of the season. Texaco/Havoline is celebrating its 20th
anniversary as a primary sponsor in NASCAR, a historical journey that
began in 1987 with a young driver named Davey Allison. Allison drove
the Texaco/Havoline car to 19 victories including a 1988 win at Richmond
International Raceway (RIR).
* Return to Richmond: Montoya will make his second NEXTEL Cup
start at Richmond on Saturday night. Montoya and the No. 42
Texaco/Havoline team ran in the top-15 during the first 100 laps of the
400-lap competition at RIR in May, but a tap from the No. 12 car on lap
119 sent the No. 42 up into the No. 70 car. The team worked on the car
all evening, but it never handled as well after the incident and had to
settle for a 26th-place finish.
* Standings: Montoya and the No. 42 team slipped one spot in the
NASCAR NEXTEL Cup standings to 19th after their 33rd-place run last
weekend at California Speedway. Montoya and the team overcame the heat,
a blown engine in qualifying and a collision with the No. 99 car on pit
road to finish the race 33rd, three laps down to the leader.
* Rookie Race: Montoya still holds a significant lead in the
Raybestos Rookie of the Year standings over David Ragan. He leads the
driver of the No. 6 car by 23 points (217-194). Montoya is poised to
become the fourth driver for sponsor Texaco/Havoline to earn Rookie of
the Year honors (Allison, Kenny Irwin and Jamie McMurray). It would
also be the second time Crew Chief Donnie Wingo has led a new driver in
the No. 42 Dodge to the title. Wingo was with McMurray in 2003 when he
beat Greg Biffle for the coveted rookie trophy.
* Chassis: Crew Chief Donnie Wingo and the No. 42 team are
bringing chassis #744 to Richmond International Raceway this weekend for
the 26th race of season. This is a new chassis for the Texaco/Havoline
team and has not competed in NASCAR competition yet this season.
Montoya and the team were supposed to test this chassis on the Monday
and Tuesday following Michigan. However, due to the rain delay at
Michigan, Busch Series driver Kevin Hamlin stepped into chassis #744 for
the two-day test at the 1.25-mile track with the CGRFS test team.
* Did you know this about 42? Molybdenum is number 42 on the
periodic table and comes from the Greek word meaning lead. It is a
metallic element that resembles chromium and tungsten, and is used in
strengthening and hardening steel. The element is used daily at the
race shop in our engine oil provided by Havoline and in metal alloys
found in car parts like the rear end housing and ball bearings.
* Richmond Local: Texaco/Havoline crew member Ryan Quann, who
works in the composite shop and serves as pit and driver support on race
day, hails from Richmond, Va. He has been working for Chip Ganassi
Racing with Felix Sabates (and SABCO) for the past seven years.
* Celebrating 20 Years: In celebration of Texaco's 20th
anniversary in sponsoring stock car racing and a successful season for
rookie Montoya, Chevron Products Company introduced its special limited
edition gift card carrying the image of the No. 42 Texaco/Havoline race
car and Montoya. The Texaco/Havoline branded gift cards are now
available for purchase in denominations up to $100 at participating
Texaco stations or online at www.texaco.com.
* Sirius-ly: Montoya and the team will be featured weekly on
Sirius Satellite Radio's Driver2Crew Chatter. Driver2Crew Chatter puts
fans in the car and in the pits. Fans can listen to Montoya's radio
communication with Crew Chief Wingo, Spotter Tab Boyd and the rest of
the Team on channel 119. Listen in every Monday at 5 p.m. ET on channel
128 for the "Juan Pablo Montoya Report." Montoya provides exclusive
updates on the No. 42 Team; gives post-race downloads and shares his own
personal experiences on his jump full time into the NEXTEL Cup Series.
