RODRIGUEZ LEADS MIDGETS TO TRACY SATURDAY

 

 

            Johnny Rodriguez of Elk Grove, Calif. resumes his pursuit of the 2007 USAC Western Midget Championship Saturday night when the series joins the Lucas Oil USAC Western Sprint Car Series for a "doubleheader" at Altamont Motorsports Park in Tracy, Calif.

 

            Rodriguez has a commanding 122-point lead over Scott Pierovich in the latest standings. Rodriguez has posted two wins, a second and three thirds so far this year.

 

            Matt Mitchell, currently third in the series standings, won at Tracy in June, while Rodriguez finished 10th.
