Registration for the second "American Le Mans Series / AutoWeek Insiders Dream Giveaway" is now underway.
The American Le Mans Series has joined with partners AutoWeek, Michelin, Audi and Lowe's Home Improvement Stores to launch the 2008 "American Le Mans Series / AutoWeek Insiders Dream Giveaway." Officials of the Series and AutoWeek announced the sweepstakes event Friday at Belle Isle in Detroit, the home of AutoWeek and site of this weekend's Detroit Sports Car Challenge presented by Bosch for the American Le Mans Series.
Series fans, AutoWeek readers and automotive enthusiasts have the opportunity to win trips to three of the world's most prestigious races - the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Petit Le Mans, and the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring as well as valuable prizes from Lowe's Home Improvement Centers and Michelin.
The entry period will begin Monday, September 3 and end at midnight on Sunday, March 16.

Not only will entrants find the entry form and rules, they can also read a blog of the trip written and photographed by the 2007 Grand Prize winner. There is a limit of one entry per person per email address and a limit of one prize per person per household.

The Grand Prize is an eight-day trip for two to the 76th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans complete with round-trip airfare, first to Munich, Germany for a tour of the Audi factory in Ingolstadt. There, the winner will receive the keys to an Audi for transportation from Munich to Le Mans. In addition, the Le Mans Trip Prize winner will receive a travel allowance, a set of four Michelin Passenger or Light Truck tires, a Lowe's gift card and a one-year subscription to AutoWeek.
Another winning pair also will receive the Second Prize which includes airfare and accommodations to the 2008 Petit Le Mans and the 2009 Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. Third Prize includes an expense-paid trip to the 2008 Petit Le Mans race. Also part of the packages are sets of Michelin tires, AutoWeek subscriptions and a Lowe's gift cards.
