UAW President Ron Gettelfinger to Address Detroit Economic Club

DETROIT, Aug. 30, 2007 -- On Thursday, September 6, 2007, the Detroit Economic Club (DEC) is pleased to host Ron Gettelfinger, president, International Union, UAW. The meeting will be held at noon at The Masonic in Detroit, MI.
The International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW) is one of the largest and most diverse unions in North America, with members in virtually every sector of the economy. The UAW has approximately 640,000 active members and over 500,000 retired members in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.
DEC was formed in 1934 as a platform for the discussion and debate of important business, government and social issues. It is known internationally as a top speaking forum for prominent business and government leaders, who address members and their guests at the Club's 35 meetings a season. Admission: $40 for DEC members, $50 for guests of members and $65 for nonmembers.
