KJ is Ready to Start Stage Two in Indy ACDelco Cobalt pilot takes time to help others before NHRA's biggest race Sugar Hill, Ga., August 29, 2007 - This weekend, Kurt Johnson and the ACDelco Cobalt Racing team will join the drag racing community in gathering at O'Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis, IN for the 53rd running of the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals. This five-day celebration of speed is widely recognized as the sport's biggest event, with racers coming from all over the country to compete. As such, a win is considered to be among the most cherished in drag racing and a necessary element of any successful racing resume. However, this year a solid performance at the "Big Go" takes on added significance for eight drivers in each of the POWERade Drag Racing Series' professional categories, as it marks the beginning of the second phase of the 2007 championship. Entering the NHRA's equivalent of the playoffs in the sixth position, Johnson will look to use a strong showing at this marquee event to further solidify his title aspirations.
