FORT WORTH, Texas, Aug. 28, 2007 -- AMERICREDIT CORP. announced today it has filed a Form 4 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that indicates Clifton H. Morris, Jr., chairman of the board of directors, has purchased 168,000 shares of the company's stock. The shares were purchased yesterday at a cost-per-share of $16.95 and a total cost of $2.85 million. Morris now has direct and indirect ownership of 1,502,210 shares of AmeriCredit common stock.
