Fellows honoured by Mosport International Karting
Canadian racer honoured with corner naming
BOWMANVILLE, ONTARIO Canadian roadracer, and Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting
Championship Presented by Toronto Stars founder, Ron Fellows was honoured
this weekend by Mosport International Karting. The operators of the Mosport
International Karting Complex have named a corner after the standout
roadracer. "We are very honoured to be able to rename corner 8 as the 'Ron
Fellows Bowl," Mosport International Karting's Ken Flute said at the
presentation that was made in the media room at Mosport International Raceway.
Fellows, who ran both the Speed GT, and the ALMS races on the weekend, was
honoured by the award. "This is very cool," Fellows said. "It is a
fantastic kart track. They hosted round four of the Sunoco Ron Fellows
Karting Championship there."
As the presentation was being made, karters in the Sunoco Ron Fellows
Karting Championship we in action on the Mosport DDT track.
The objective of the SRFKC is to help foster a professional environment for
kart drivers; help create a positive attitude towards appearance, conduct
and discipline; help foster the employment of the best practices for the
safe and fair running of competitions; and help kart drivers to move up the
racing ladder to automobile racing.
