ZAP Electric Vehicles Now Listed in Kelley Blue Book
SANTA ROSA, Calif.--Electric car pioneer ZAP (OTCBB:ZAAP) announced today that its electric vehicles are now listed in the Kelley Blue Book, a milestone according to officials for the California-based automotive company.
Kelley Blue Book Co., Inc., headquartered in Irvine, California, is the United States' largest appraiser of automobiles. The company has become so identified with its services that the trademarked terms blue book and blue book value have become synonymous with a car's market value.
ZAP says that six of its all-electric vehicles are now listed in the latest publication of the Kelley Blue Book and CEO Steve Schneider expects more in the future.
"As we are building an automotive company, to be recognized by one of the most authoritative resources in the industry is a significant milestone for ZAP," said Schneider, a 30-year veteran in the auto industry. "I've been involved in the launch of several vehicles with different companies and to have a Blue Book listing is really important for the future of any new vehicle. We expect to see many more ZAP vehicles in the Kelley Blue Book."
Schneider said that ZAP is working to develop a new generation of electric car technologies with the goal of creating a global brand and distribution network for a full-line of energy-efficient, advanced technologies vehicles.
