Worthington Cylinders Announces MultipleRetail Agreements for Line of Hand Torch Cylinders

COLUMBUS, Ohio--Worthington Cylinders, a Worthington Industries, Inc. company, announced retail agreements for its line of hand torch cylinders with ten North American retailers.

United States retail outlets slated to carry the product include Wal-Mart, Sears, Lowes, True Value, Menards, Blains Farm & Fleet, Do It Best and Mills Fleet Farm. Canac-Marquis Grenier and Home Hardware will carry the line in Canada.

In June, Worthington announced that it would be offering its hand torch cylinders direct to retail and wholesale channels worldwide instead of via private label distribution. The hand torch cylinders have been manufactured at Worthingtons Wisconsin facility for more than 43 years.

We are very pleased to have reached agreements with each of these retail outlets, said Dusty McClintock, vice president of sales for Worthington Cylinders. The hand torch cylinders, which are used primarily by plumbing and refrigeration repair professionals and DIY specialists, are part of Worthington Cylinders consumer products line which includes propane tanks used for grilling and camping as well as Balloon Time Helium Balloon Kits.

The Worthington Cylinders-branded line of hand torch cylinders contain MAPP® gas, propane, oxygen, or propylene, and are compatible with millions of hand torches used worldwide.
