August 27 (Gasgoo.com) ¨CChina's top 53 car engine makers in the first half year have produced and sold 4.5 million car engines, up 24.50 percent from a year earlier, according to China Association of Automobile Manufacturers. China's top five engine makers, Yuchai Machinery Guangxi, Changan Automobile, Liuzhou Wuling Motors, FAW-VW, Shanghai-VW, have produced 29.98 percent of the country's total car engine output, while the top 12 engine makers have produced 56.97 percent of the total output. In terms of engine types, China's total output and sales of diesels engines in the first half year have both reached 1.19 million units, up 30.5 percent from a year earlier. Yuchai Machinery Guangxi, China's largest diesels engine producer has produced 296,400 diesels engines in the first half year, which represents 24.85 percent of China's total diesels engine output. In the first half year, top 5 diesels engine makers have produced 67.44 percent of the China's total diesels engines production, while the top 7 diesels engine makers have produced 78.98 percent and top 9 diesels engine makers have produced 88.45 percent of the country's total output. Also in term of engine types, China's total production and sales of gas engines in the first half year have reached 3.33 million units and 3.34 million units, up 22.35 percent and 22.87 percent respectively. Five top gas engine producers, Changan Automobile, Liuzhou Wuling Motors, FAW-VW, Shanghai VW and Chery Automobile have produced 37.76 percent of China's total gas engine output in the first half year.
