Fresh off Top-10 Finish, McGilton Ready to Take on the Milwaukee Mile

 

West Allis, Wisc. (August 24, 2007) - Phillip McGilton makes his first
appearance at the Milwaukee Mile this weekend in the Governor's Cup 200 as
the ARCA RE/MAX Series returns for its 10th visit to the famed one-mile
paved oval. Fresh off a 10th place finish in his dirt track debut, McGilton
is confident that he and his Brewco Motorsports teammates will continue
their success in Milwaukee. With sunny weather in the forecast for the
weekend, McGilton is ready to take the Milwaukee Mile by storm.

"We had a really good test at Gateway," commented McGilton, "and we're
bringing the same car to Milwaukee. I'm really looking forward to this
weekend. I think the No. 47 SI Performance Ford Fusion will be really good
and strong here."

McGilton remains in 2nd place in the race for ARCA Rookie of the Year behind
Michael McDowell. McGilton is currently in the 5th position in the 2007 ARCA
RE/MAX Series Championship race with 3200 points, 105 points behind 4th
place Justin Allgaier. 

ARCA RE/MAX Series practice runs from 2:00 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. on Saturday,
August 25, 2007. SIM Factory Pole Qualifying begins that evening at 6:15
p.m. On Sunday, August 27, 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series drivers will be signing
autographs from 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. The green flag for the Governor's
Cup 200 flies at 1:00 p.m. and will be broadcast LIVE on SPEED. All times
listed are EASTERN.

Notes of Interest:

*	McGilton will join fellow ARCA RE/MAX Series drivers in an autograph
session at the Milwaukee Mile on Sunday August 26, 2007 from 10:30 a.m. -
11:00 a.m. CST.
*	McGilton, a Marion, Illinois resident, made his first career
dirt-track start last weekend at Illinois State Fairgrounds and garnished a
10th place finish.
*	Brewco Motorsports is bringing ARCA Car #1 (A1) to the Milwaukee
Mile. It was last seen on-track at the Gateway open-test.  McGilton was very
happy with the car at that test session.
*	McGilton currently sits second in the ARCA RE/MAX Series
Rookie-of-the-Year standings. McGilton trails fellow competitor Michael
McDowell for the top spot.
