Nanjing Automobile Reveals MG7 Price

SHANGHAI - August 24, 2007:

Nanjing Automobile Corporation (NAC) released the price of its new model MG7 yesterday and this model will be launched at the beginning of September.

The price of four version of MG7 will be in the range of 171,600 yuan to 302,800 yuan ($22,000 to $40,000). The vehicle will compete with Audi A6 and Toyota Crown in the high-end market.

MG7 and Roewe, a brand owned by Shanghai Automobile Group, are developed from the same model Rover 75. Experts say that Roewe will focus on the domestic market and MG7 will explore overseas market.

However, Tang Yuejin, deputy general manager of MG sales company said, "MG7 will not ignore the ever booming domestic market. There are 47 franchised dealers across the nation, by the end of this year, the number will reach 60," said Yang Junhu, MG sales general manager.
