TORONTO, ONTARIO – The Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting Championship presented by
Toronto Star Wheels will be in action this weekend at Mosport on the Driver
Development Track. This will be the fifth round – of six – for 2007.
Being the penultimate round of the 2007 Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting
Championship presented by Toronto Star Wheels, drivers are looking ahead to
championships, while looking behind them to see who is gaining on them.
Mosport is full of action this weekend with the ALMS series in town, and
some of the best battles could well be on the Driver Development Track as
the SRFKC has seen many last lap passes for wins this year. The karters of
the Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting Championship are the motorsport stars of
tomorrow, and you can see them in action this weekend.
The SRFKC features practice all day on Friday, with five classes racing on
Saturday, then five more on Sunday. One driver who is on a definite roll is
Mike Vincec, who leads the championship in three classes - Rotax DD2
Shifter, Formula Senior and Rotax Max Senior.
Also leading classes are; David Ostella in Rotax Junior, Richard Hibbs in
F1K Senior, Vincent Rago in F1K Junior, Garret Grist in F1K Cadet, Evan
Hayden in Canada Senior, Austin Milwain in Canada Junior Light and Gary
Klutt in Canada Junior Heavy.
Other names to watch are; Kevin Monteith, Dylan Van Tienen, Reid Arnold,
Garett Grist, newly crowned Canadian Champion in Canada Senior, Aaron de
Heus, Artem Korolev, Jeff May, Mike Lennie, Jesse Chaison, Curtis Fox and
Michael Di Meo. They are all in the hunt for championships and looking
forward to a good weekend at Mosport.
In all, over 200 karters are expected to do battle in round five of the
Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting Championship Presented by Toronto Star Wheels
this weekend at Mosport.
