Due to the tremendous response from AutoWeek readers from the September 4, 2006, special section on teen driving (available for download at AutoWeek.com/teen), the goal of the summit is to bring together those who can influence driver education in this country.
Panelists will address safety issues related to teen accidents and deaths and identify what needs to be done in order to improve current driver education programs. From there, attendees will discuss what they can do in order to initiate this change.
The afternoon driving session will then give these individuals an opportunity to experience first-hand common challenges of the road and proper ways in which to handle various situations.
