Four-time Indianapolis 500 winner A.J. Foyt and two-time NASCAR Nextel Cup Champion and USAC Triple Crown Champion Tony Stewart are among the late-August point leaders in Holley Performance Products' USAC Earl's Fast Qualifier Championship standings.

Foyt's #14 car leads the Earl's standings in the K & N Silver Crown Series, while Stewart's #21 car leads the Earl's standings in the Lucas Oil National Sprint Car Series. Foyt has utilized drivers Tracy Hines, Bobby East and J.J. Yeley, while Hines and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. have occupied the seat in the #21 Stewart Sprinter.

Foyt's lead in the Silver Crown Earl's points is 16 over the #199 car owned by Carl Edwards and RE Technologies and driven by Cameron Dodson, while Stewart's #21 Sprinter is three points ahead of his #20 team car, driven by Levi Jones.

Points for the Earl's bonuses, paid to car entrants at season's end, are computed on an international scale, awarding nine, six, four, three, two and one to the fastest six qualifiers at each event. The Earl's champions receive $1,000 cash bonuses, while $750 and $500 bonuses are distributed to the second and third-place entrants in the Earl's standings.

Terry Klatt of Hastings, Neb., Alan Kaiser of Vallejo, Calif. and Lance Pierovich of Alamo, Calif. also lead their respective series' Earl's championship standings. The Klatt Enterprises #4 Midget, driven by Bobby East and Don Droud Jr., is three points ahead of the #91 car of Nine Racing, which Davey Ray pilots in the National Midget Series. The #1 Kaiser Sprint car driven by Tony Hunt in the Lucas Oil Western Sprint Series is four points ahead of the #17 Kody Swanson car, while the #35 Pierovich Midget, driven by Scott Pierovich, is five points ahead of the #37 Mitchell Motorsports car driven by Matt Mitchell in the Western Midget Series.

Foyt's #14 was the fastest Silver Crown qualifier for races at Iowa Speedway, Darlington Raceway and O'Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis, while Stewart's #21 was the fastest Sprint qualifier at Eldora Speedway, the Terre Haute Action Track and at Bloomington Speedway. Kaiser's #1 Sprint car was the fastest qualifier twice at Madera Speedway and Pierovich's #35 had the fastest Midget time at USAC Race Park in Tucson, Ariz. and at Altamont Motorsports Park in Tracy, Calif.
