Kubota Launches Habitat Restoration Initiative to Commemorate 35 Innovative Years in the U.S. Market
TORRANCE, Calif.--Celebrating its 35th year in the U.S. market, Kubota Tractor Corporation announces a new habitat restoration initiative that kicks off with an extensive Quail Unlimited (QU) sponsorship. The Kubota/QU partnership will seek to develop and restore wildlife habitat nationwide.
As a Premier QU Sponsor and the Official Tractors and Utility Vehicles of Quail Unlimited, Kubota is committing resources to national, regional, and local QU chapters and the wildlife organization’s many habitat restoration projects. In addition, QU and Kubota are fielding Habitat Improvement Teams (HIT) across the country to help educate private landowners and public land managers on how best to complete habitat improvements on their properties. Kubota will sponsor tractors/equipment to the HIT effort during the next three years to assist with the restoration efforts.
“Since 1972 when Kubota entered the American market — and long before that time — one of our key Kubota corporate philosophies has been to develop advanced equipment technologies that work toward harmony between man and the environment,” says Tetsuji “Mike” Tomita, president, Kubota Tractor Corporation. “This long-standing commitment to the environment and habitat restoration will be further strengthened through Quail Unlimited in ways that directly benefit the nation’s public and private wildlife habitats.”
“We believe the national habitat restoration initiative — highlighted by the Quail Unlimited sponsorship — is an excellent way to celebrate more than three successful decades in this market, while giving back and adding value to the communities where we do business,” adds Tomita.
Kubota Corporation, Osaka, Japan, is a past recipient of the Sankei Newspaper Award as part of the first Global Environment Awards, which recognized Kubota’s continuing contribution to protecting the environment.
“Conservation, preservation, and enhancement of natural resources are passions that both Quail Unlimited and Kubota share,” says Rocky Evans, president of QU. “Their proven track record of environmental stewardship, in conjunction with their world-renowned reputation for quality, innovation, and technical expertise make Kubota the ideal partner for a habitat restoration program of this magnitude.”
Kubota Tractor Corporation, Torrance, Calif., is the U.S. marketer and distributor of Kubota-branded equipment, including a complete line of tractors up to 103 PTO hp, performance-matched implements, compact and utility-class construction equipment, consumer lawn and garden equipment, commercial turf products and utility vehicles.
