AFVi Learning Marketplace Presents:
Biofuels Drive Economic Solutions
September 20, 2007 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
The Orleans, Las Vegas, Nevada

“Biofuels Drive Economic Solutions” is a national Forum designed to provide timely information on the basics of biofuels and how they can be incorporated into vehicle fleets. Alternative Fuel Vehicle Institute (AFVi) presents the all-day Forum which is scheduled for Thursday, September 20, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The lead sponsor is the Las Vegas Regional Clean Cities Coalition (LVRCC).

Forum presenters include approximately 25 leading representatives of corporate, government and non-government organizations, and fuel associations. Included among those participating are Dan Hyde, Fleet Manager for the City of Las Vegas; Joe Jobe, Executive Director of the National Biodiesel Board (NBB); Michael Mann, United States Environmental Protection Agency; Robert White, Ethanol Promotion and Information Council (EPIC); Frank Giordano, Clark County School District; and Chris Cassidy, United States Department of Agriculture. The use of E85 ethanol and biodiesel will focus on five important areas:

1. Status report on current biofuels issues
2. Government incentives, credits and legislative prospects
3. Vehicle availability
4. Fleet experiences with biofuels
5. Greenhouse gases and air quality

“Biofuels have created their own energy revolution,” said Annalloyd Thomason, Executive Director of AFVi. “Prospective fleet customers, driven by regulatory or business reasons, need to know how this might impact the makeup of their vehicle fleets today and into the future. This Forum is part of AFVi’s Learning Marketplace, designed to give customers timely information when they need it the most.”

The Forum runs from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 20. The registration fee is $149 before this Friday, August 17, and $199 after that. The fee includes access to Forum materials, a continental breakfast, and lunch. To register, go to AFVi’s website and sign up today – http://www.afvi.org/forums.html. The event will be held at The Orleans, 4500 West Tropicana Avenue, in Las Vegas. EPIC and NBB are supporting sponsors.

Remember, register by this Friday, August 17, to enjoy the early registration discount.
