Dollar and Thrifty Expand Pass24 Prepaid Toll System to Denver

TULSA, Okla., Aug. 14, 2007 -- Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc. , the parent company of Dollar Rent A Car and Thrifty Car Rental, today announced the expansion of Rent A Toll(R) prepaid toll service to the metro Denver market. Dollar and Thrifty are already offering the service -- branded "Pass24(R)"-- in Dallas and Houston.

"Pass24 is proving to be a great time-saving option for our customers," said Scott Anderson, senior executive vice president of corporate operations for Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group. "We have already celebrated successful launches in Dallas and Houston, and we are pleased to expand the convenience of Pass24 to our customers traveling the 65 miles of toll roads in the metropolitan Denver area. All toll charges are included in the $8.95 per day fee, which eliminates the hassle of reconciling separate charges to the customer's credit card after the car is returned."

Pass24 is available at three convenient Dollar Rent A Car and one Thrifty Car Rental location in the Denver area, including Denver International Airport for $8.95 per day. Customers who want to utilize Pass24 should request it at the rental counter.

Pass24 allows drivers to use the express lanes, bypassing the cash lanes and eliminates the need to carry exact change and can be used with any class of vehicle. Collection of tolls is tied to vehicle license plates and no electronic device is required. Video technology is used to capture images of the rental car as it passes through the toll facilities.

"Consumer demand for our Pass24 product is high, and we are excited about the opportunity to expand into the Denver market with Dollar Thrifty," said Rick Welch, President and CEO, Rent A Toll.

"Our stellar results in Dallas and Houston validate the convenience and value of the Pass24 prepaid toll solution. It's a time-saver by utilizing toll express lanes, includes unlimited tolls per day, and charges are included on the rental receipt for easy expense management. As word gets out, we will continue aggressive expansion into additional U.S. toll markets."

"Having Rent A Toll in the Denver market helps E-470 provide better service to our Dollar and Thrifty customers who have rental car requirements in Colorado, whether it be for business, tourism or personal use. We're excited about this new opportunity," said Dave Kristick, E-470's Director of Operations in Colorado.

Tollways served by Pass24 in the Denver metropolitan area include E-470, the Northwest Parkway and the I-25 Express Lanes. Information about these toll roads can be found at http://www.e-470.com/, http://www.nwpky.org/ and http://www.dot.state.co.us/CTE/expresslanes/.
