AFVi Learning Marketplace Presents:
Biofuels Drive Economic Solutions
September 20, 2007 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The Orleans, Las Vegas, Nevada

Are you a fleet manager pondering joining the biofuels gold rush? You’ll want to join the Alternative Fuel Vehicle Institute (AFVi) and the Las Vegas Regional Clean Cities Coalition for “Biofuels Drive Economic Solutions,” a national Forum to be held September 20, 2007 at the Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV. The Forum is designed as a comprehensive one day learning marketplace. Additional sponsors include the Ethanol Promotion and Information Council (EPIC) and the National Biodiesel Board (NBB).

“This is a green rush in every way,” said Annalloyd Thomason, Executive Director of AFVi. “Biofuels have taken center stage in Washington, D.C. as well as many states and the results can be seen in unprecedented incentives and credits. Add savings to greenhouse gas emissions reductions and it adds up to a financial and environmental win-win.”

Speakers include representatives from Biodiesel Industries, City of Las Vegas, Clark County school district, EPIC, NBB, United States Departments of Agriculture and Energy, and OEMs showcasing light-, medium-, and heavy-duty biofuels vehicles. Topics include funding, vehicle previews, fuel myths and facts, fuel standards and availability, and tools to help forecast the near- and long-term paybacks. The day concludes with a roundtable discussion featuring fleet managers who have been using biodiesel and ethanol in their vehicles.

Who should attend? The Forum is recommended for commercial, corporate, and government fleets as well as federal and state energy program managers. Specific targets are fleet owners and executives, as well as fleet operations and maintenance managers. Registration starts at 8:00 a.m. and the forum runs from 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 20. The registration fee is $149 before August 17 and $199 after that. The fee includes access to Forum materials, a continental breakfast, and lunch. To register online go to http://www.afvi.org/forums.html The Forum will be held at The Orleans, 4500 West Tropicana Avenue. Sleeping rooms are being held at a rate of $60.
