AutoTrader.com Enhances Promotional Programs with MLB’s Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim
ATLANTA--AutoTrader.com, the ultimate automotive marketplace, today announced two local promotional enhancements to complement its season-long sponsorship of Major League Baseball’s Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim to generate additional interaction with each team’s local fan base. Both programs will encourage fans to visit a website, jointly run by AutoTrader.com and the team, to register for a sweepstakes which will culminate with an on-field, grand prize presentation to the winners during one of the final home games of the season for each respective team.
Through September 16, AutoTrader.com and the Atlanta Braves are driving its fans to www.Braves.com/win to register for a sweepstakes and a chance to win a grand prize, one-of-a-kind, customized Braves Chevrolet Tahoe LS—featuring an interior dashboard signed by select members of the 2007 Atlanta Braves—along with season tickets and a parking pass. The grand prize presentation will be awarded on the field during the Braves game September 22 at Turner Field. Fans who visit Braves.com/win will also have the chance to win weekly prizes by playing an online version of the popular in-stadium AutoTrader.com Turn2 game. The live stadium version of the game challenges fans—who play not only to win a MasterCard gift card of up to $50 for themselves, but also to win for all fans sitting in the same row—by pitting their quick intellectual reflexes against the Turner Field jumbotron scoreboard in a memory, card-matching game. Atlanta Braves manager, Bobby Cox, is featured in the online version of the game and lends both encouraging remarks and critical suggestions based on each contestant’s performance during the game. In similar fashion, AutoTrader.com and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have joined forces to drive fans to www.Angelsbaseball.com/win for the AutoTrader.com Ultimate Fantasy Giveaway, a sweepstakes that will run August 6 through September 16. The grand prize winner will be awarded their choice of one of three baseball fantasy packages during an on-field ceremony at Angel Stadium September 21. The winner will select from either a Fantasy Camp Package, which includes private instruction, batting practice, a personalized jersey and tickets to several games; a Half-season Ticket Package, which includes a dugout suite with catering, a personalized jersey and the opportunity to throw out the “first pitch” at a select game; or a package which provides the opportunity to host 36 friends at a select Angels game, including a bus to the game, a catered party, a meet and greet with the Angels players and a personalized jersey. The sweepstakes will be supported with traditional and online media, including live radio, promotional television spots and in-game stadium television features.
