Hoek Motorsports Gets First Top 5 in PRO-2WD

Ross Hoek Motorsports Gets First Top 5 in PRO-2WD

Holland, MI (July 16, 2007) ? The RHM team arrived in Bark River,
Michigan, looking to rebound from the abbreviated stint in Crandon.
The inaugural year of competition at the PRO level has been a
challenge for Ross Hoek, but the team was confident that all the hard
work would pay off in the upper peninsula of Michigan.

After Friday?s practice, Ross Hoek made some suspension changes to the
#21 Herculiner Ford F-150, looking for more forward bite and better
balance through the rhythm sections. Unfortunately, Saturday?s early
morning rain caused WSORR to cancel the morning practice session
forcing the team to hit the track untested.

Round 5
The starting grid had the #21 Herculiner Toyo Tires Ford F-150, lined
up in the second row. As the field headed out of Turn One, Ross
quickly moved into seventh place. By lap three, the Holland, Michigan
native fought his way into the fifth position. Two laps later, Ross
worked his way up to the fourth spot. At the checkered flag, the #21
Herculiner Ford finished its first WSORR event in fifth place.

?The first few laps, I couldn?t see a thing?, commented Ross Hoek.
?The back row start didn?t really help. The truck was running good.
The handling wasn?t as good as we would have liked. We are going to
make a few chassis changes and get ready for tomorrow. The truck?s all
good, no serious issues. The guy behind the wheel has got to get a
little more experience. All in all, we were happy with our first
finish of the year. We had a chance for a podium, but made a mistake
and let Evan get by. We will be ready tomorrow and look to move up on
the competition.?

Round 6
Following another second row start Ross Hoek and his #21 Herculiner
Toyo Tires Ford F-150 came out of Turn One following the veterans of
the division. The truck was running well and working much better but
after three laps, the day was over with a broken rocker arm.

Comments from Ross Hoek, as the team loaded up the hauler for the trip
back home.
?The suspension changes helped, but there?s still more tuning to be
done. We?re frustrated with another DNF but we will regroup as a
team, and be back here in a month.?
