DriverTV named one of Time.com's Best Sites of 2007
New York, NY - July 12, 2007: TIME.com has named driverTV.com as one of the 50 best websites of 2007 – the only automotive site on their list. The newly launched car-shopping site is the first of its kind to feature high definition videos and 360-degree, virtual tours of a number of makes and models.
TIME.com’s 50 Best Websites of 2007 are “the best examples of what’s new and exciting abut the web right now.” These winning sites all have “exceptional style and smarts, [and are] sites that offer new and improved ways to access and share content, generate our own and otherwise enrich the online (and off-line) experience.” driverTV.com proves to be the closest thing to kicking the tires of a new car without leaving your home. The site features the inventory of more than 30 top carmakers from Audi to Volvo. DriverTV.com also recently added Land Rover and Mini vehicles to its growing catalogue. Site visitors will be startled by a car shopping experience like no other online – a three minute narrated video of a $175,000 Lamborghini Gallardo shows the car from the same sexy angles as a clip featuring a $15,000 Chevrolet Aveo.
DriverTV.com fills a current gap in the market as the only automotive destination designed from the ground up for broadband subscribers. It also has the largest catalogue of high definition content on the web, and the videos can be downloaded into iPods and PSPs, as well as file downloads and screen savers. “We are honored to be recognized by TIME.com,” says driverTV President and CEO Jan Renner, “It is gratifying to know our hard work and efforts in making this an extraordinary website are acknowledged.”
