Chrysler, Honda, Ford and General Motors Slated for Leadership
TROY, Mich., July 11, 2007; Unprecedented support from Original Equipment Manufacturers continues to transform the SAE World Congress into a world-class event and assure its successful future.
Host companies through 2011 were announced recently at the SAE World Congress Industry Leadership Coalition meeting. Slated to be host companies are:
-- 2008 -- Chrysler; -- 2009 -- Honda; -- 2010 -- Ford; -- 2011 -- General Motors.
While Chrysler, Ford and GM have hosted the SAE World Congress many times, the role will be a first-ever experience for Honda. The BMW Groups and Toyota hosted the event in 2006 and 2007, respectively, and will continue their support into 2008 and beyond.
"The involvement of these companies clearly demonstrates that the SAE World Congress holds an important place in the future of the automotive industry," David L. Amati, Director of Global Automotive Business and Automotive Headquarters for SAE International, said. "In addition, having the ability to plan and strategize with these automotive leaders means the SAE World Congress will always address the most significant technology issues facing this industry."
For 2008, Chrysler is the host company for SAE World Congress, set April 14-17 at Cobo Center in Detroit.
